Tip Top Athlete is a state-of-the-art sports performance training center in Utah catering to aspiring athletes aged 3 to 22. We offer a comprehensive suite of services to help athletes excel in their chosen sports. We orchestrated a meticulously curated regimen designed to elevate the agility and performance of aspiring football athletes.

Warm-Up: Our session commences with a comprehensive dynamic warm-up routine, meticulously designed to prime the athletes for the dynamic, high-intensity movements ahead. This essential step not only reduces the risk of injuries but also ensures that the athletes are physically and mentally prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.

Sprint Training for Football: In our session, we seamlessly integrated sprint training, simulating game-like scenarios and sharpening the athletes' cutting abilities. The drills encompassed:

  • Sprint with 45-degree cut

  • Curve running

Lateral Agility Progressions: With the athletes sufficiently warmed up, we delve into a series of lateral agility progressions, laying the foundation for enhanced agility and quick directional changes. This sequence, conducted with precision and focus, involves:

  • Skater hops (vertical focus)

  • Skater hops (low, lateral focus)

  • Skater hop combo (vertical pop to lateral slide)

  • Skater hop with single-leg pogo jump

Each progression is meticulously executed, with athletes aiming for 2-3 sets of 3-5 repetitions on each leg, fostering strength, balance, and agility.

Dynamic Agility Training: Building upon the fundamental movements established in the lateral agility progressions, we introduce dynamic variations to amplify the challenge and elevate the athletes' agility prowess. The drills include:

  • Single-leg forward hop to lateral slide

  • Single-leg forward hop to lateral hop (landing on both feet)

  • Single-leg forward hop to 45-degree forward hop (landing on both feet)

With a focus on quality execution, athletes completed 2-3 sets of 3-5 repetitions on each leg, enhancing their ability to maneuver swiftly and decisively on the field.

With an emphasis on explosiveness and precision, athletes completed 3-5 sets of 1 repetition, bridging the gap between training and on-field performance.
